Weekly News 02/04/21
This week we were asked to look at a Heidelberg
Cylinder which had a loud noise coming from underneath
the type bed. This is usually caused by excess paper
in the gearing which is an easy and typical fix but on
this occasion it was the main roller bearing in the
con rod gear which is a much bigger job to carry out.
We removed the con rod, pressed the gear apart
and fitted a new bearing. The machine is now
unrecognisable. Regular maintenance could of
prevented this which is so much cheaper than a
repair.
Happy Easter. Enjoy the long weekend!
