Gearboxes don't come in much worse conditions than this one.
It looks like at some point it has run whilst seriously low on oil,
causing the brass bushes to overheat and pick up. This has then
worn the back plate, the double gear bush, the stub shaft and bush.
We machined all the worn parts, had bushes made to suit, cleaned all
the gears, bearings and casing and rebuilt it back up.
